The Living House

Handbuilt lovely timber clad living room with kitchen area, dining table with built around benches, and sofa – and all heated with a cosy wood burning stove. French doors lead out onto a sunny decking area for al fresco eating and relaxing. The decking curves round to a walkway across to the Sleeping House, deliberately separate as a peaceful sleeping area.

The Sleeping House

Comprises 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom. The Master bedroom can be made up as either a King size bed, or 2 singles. The bunk room has 2 bunks, plus a ladder up to a mezzanine level with secret double sleeping space for 2 adventurous extras! Find the spy holes! There is a stylish showerroom with a big shower with views into the trees; loo and washbasin. The sleeping house is heated and cosy too.

Everything is provided

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and dining, with a good 3.4 size combi oven, plus a 4 burner hob above and plenty of pots and pans and tools. Plus an undercounter fridge with small freezer section. However in order to be as green and natural as we can, there is no dishwasher, or washing machine. Eco friendly products are provided in the kitchen and the bathroom, as we use an eco waster system. For kitchen food waste, there are full recycling and composting bins. There are plenty of games under the benches and books above, but deliberately no TV. Although we do provide good Wifi, sadly we can’t really do without that these days, although we’d like to !

The Treehouse is very well insulated, with good heating, and logs supplied for the woodburner, thus perfect for all year round stays. Smart bedlinen, fluffy towels,  soap and shower gel, as well as basic kitchen ingredients, tea and coffee are supplied. There is plenty of storage under the beds, and many useful hooks and shelves – but don’t bring too much luggage – this is still a step up from glamping – though in great comfort and style!
