Once your stay is booked, we can arrange discounted car ferry crossings with Red Funnel or Wightlink. Send us your preferred travel details and we’ll come back with a price.
Discounted car fares are typically around £90–£120, with higher fares in summer and prices sometimes up to half that in the winter low season. These are a guide, not a guaranteed fare — your quote depends on your dates and sailing.

No car? Your island adventure still starts with a sea crossing.
Wightlink FastCat · Portsmouth to Ryde
Our foot passenger discounts are available on this route only. The crossing takes around 15–22 minutes, and the Portsmouth terminal is inside Portsmouth Harbour train station — handy if you’re coming by rail.
Hovertravel · Southsea to Ryde
An 8–10 minute hovercraft crossing, followed by a taxi to us. Guest discounts are not available on this service.
Red Jet · Southampton to West Cowes
Around 25–28 minutes across the Solent. Allow for a longer taxi journey from West Cowes than from East Cowes. Guest discounts are not available on this service.
Travelling by train? A Railcard will save you money if you book your ticket all the way through to an Island station such as Ryde Pier Head — ferry included. Book through Trainline, National Rail or South Western Railway to get the discount.
