What is your minimum stay?

Our minimum stay is 2 nights – and even that isn't quite enough, there is so much to do and see on the Island! Occasionally we can allow a 1-night stay in low season, or last minute, especially in the smaller Nest Treehouse. In August we only offer full-week, 7-night stays in the Roost and Hideaway.

What is your cancellation policy?

Plans change, so we keep this simple. Your refund depends on how far ahead you cancel:

  • 30 days or moreFull refund
  • 15–29 days75% refund
  • 7–14 days50% refund
  • 3–6 days25% refund
  • 2 days or lessNo refund

If we're able to rebook your dates, we'll refund you in full. Or, if it's simpler, you're welcome to move your stay to new dates instead. Your damage deposit is always refunded.

Can you accommodate groups at Into the Woods?

Yes, absolutely. We often have large family groups, groups of friends, cycling groups and even genial hen parties. You can have 6 each in The Roost and The Shepherds Hideaway and 2 in The Nest – 14 guests. Plus we have a couple of extra options: 2 in our little Pig Pod, 4 in a Bell Tent, and 3 in the Den games room. Guests in those need to share bathrooms with the main guests. DM for details.

How can I contact customer support?

Into the Woods is run by us personally and we live on site. Please feel free to email or text us (details below) anytime and we will usually answer within the hour. Or you can call Fiona on 07769 696464 or Will on 07769 972007 anytime 9am–9pm.

Do you allow dogs?

We generally don't allow dogs, for the sake of other guests and cleanliness. But we can sometimes make exceptions for very well-behaved, quiet and potty-trained dogs! DM us.

What do you provide for our stay?

We provide everything you need – just bring your clothes and food! We provide all bedlinen and towels, shower gels, shampoo and conditioner. Tea, coffee, olive oil and a selection of ingredients. Wood etc. for the logburner.

What cooking facilities are there?

All our accommodation has full cooking facilities, including induction hobs, an oven/microwave combi, an undercounter fridge with a small freezer section, and a good selection of utensils and pans. Plus we provide a selection of oils, salt, pepper, various useful herbs, tea, coffee and brown sugar!

Do you have a BBQ?

Yes, all our accommodation has access to a BBQ. We have a selection of tools and sometimes some leftover coal etc. in the cupboard in the Den (games room) for you.

Is there heating?

Yes – all our accommodation is lovely and cosy and set up for year-round use. They all have logburners, plus electric heating in the bedrooms and bathrooms. We also provide hot water bottles and blankets for extra cosiness!

Do you have a hot tub?

Yes, we do have a hot tub option at The Shepherd's Hideaway only – due to the floor-level deck. The hot tub needs to be prebooked and costs £120 for your stay. We set up the hot tub clean and fresh especially for your group, and provide extra towels for it too.
